And we are back at the cross country fields

For me the season started a little late this year. I wanted to make sure that Cassius was ready and hence Calano had to wait a little, allthough he did spend the last month telling me that it was spring and time to go run fast in the cross country fields. Today i brought both of them to Haslev to compeet in a CNC90 class.

It was way too early in the morning when we loaded both horses. Well arrived at Haslev Køre og Rideforening, Cassius was the first in the ring. He did a fairly stable dressage, a little borring but with only a few mistakes. This gave me 53,?? point. At the jumping he seemed at bit tired and I had the first fence down.
Calano on the other hand is never tired. I thought the dressage was ok, but the judges did not so we ended up with a total of 56,?? points, which is the most i have ever gotten. A clear round in the jumping and we were done with the first part of the day.

For the Cross Country I was very excited about Cassius. This was his first eventing competition and I did not know wether he would object to leaving the warmup area or if he was fine running away from the other horses. All that went well, he spooked a little out there, not on the fences but on the things and people around them. Only in one place did we have to take a closer look before he dared jump the fence. All in all I am very pleased with him.
Calano was very good on alle the fence, ran very well and jumpe everything. Next show for him will definately be in CNC100.

Here is some video from today
